News: Metro Fares Revised from 2nd January 2009

Metro has announced that, in line with the fare revision taking place on National Express West Midlands and Coventry bus services, there will be changes to fares on the Metro from 2 January 2009.
An aim of the update has been to simplify the cash fares-scale with four bands becoming three. We have also introduced a simple return fares structure.
An average increase of 6.5% will be applied to fares. An Adult Metro Daytripper (off-peak) changes from £4.00 to £4.20. A Birmingham to Wolverhampton Metro fare rises from £4.20 to £4.50 return.
